Step 1: Record date, weight and waist size.
Step 2: Record body composition (percentage body
fat, pounds of body fat, pounds of LBM or lean body mass)
and RMR or resting metabolic rate. Look up figures in The Body Fat
Step 3: Add RMR to activities. (see Percent Body
Step 4: Record calorie intake. (see Percent Body
Step 5: Record difference between output calories
(negative) and intake calories (positive).
